Heat 1/2 cup ghee* in a heavy skillet
Add 3 tbsp powdered raw almonds (powder almonds in a coffee grinder) and cook until they are lightly browned.
Add 3/4 cup garbanzo flour and cook until lightly browned.
Remove from heat
Add 1 tspnpowdered cardamon
1 1/2 cups unsulfered unsweetened shreded coconut
1/4-1/2 cups Dark Nekutli Agave Nectar (to taste- you might need to add a little coconut with 1/2C)
Mix all the ingredients and let cool
Powder 1/2 C raw almonds
Dry roast until slightly brown
By the teaspoon full roll the sweet mixture into balls and roll in the
powdered nut powder.

This should make about 24 balls.
Refrigerate what you don't eat!
*Ghee is clarified butter. You can make it yourself or buy it in a jar in an ethnic or health food store. |
